Doula Services
You may be wondering exactly what my doula service entails. I hope that this will answer all of your questions, if not please don't hesitate to contact me!
If I am unable to attend your birth due to an emergency, a back-up doula will attend the birth. You may meet the back-up doula during one of the prenatals if you desire. You will not be without a doula.
Free "Get to Know You" consultation.
The consultation is to make sure I am a match for your needs, desires and personality.
1-3 prenatal visits.
During the 1st prenatal visit we will discuss the role of a doula and your expectations for your birth. We will also discuss the importance of nutrition.
During the 2nd prenatal visit we will discuss childbirth education, stages of labor and birth positions.
During the 3rd prenatal visit we will discuss any concerns you may have about your impending birth, coping techniques and relaxation exercises. We will also prepare your birth plan if desired and discuss postpartum care.
1-2 postpartum visits.
During the postpartum visit I will assist you with breastfeeding, well-mama care, and newborn care. Postpartum visits last 1-2hrs. If you require additional postpartum visits beyond the ones included they are $20 per hour.
Also Included:
If you live in the area you have the use of my extensive lending library, which includes videos; accompaniment to one prenatal appointment with your health care provider, if they are local to me; and unlimited phone and e-mail support.
Moms are invited to attend my monthly support group with past and current clients, all children are very welcomed.
Basic Doula Package
Includes 1 prenatal, labor support and telephone postpartum support cost $400.
Deluxe Doula Package
Includes 2 prenatals, labor support and 1 postpartum visit cost $500.
Utlimate Doula Package
Includes 3 prenatals, labor support and 2 postpartum visits cost $600.
***For those clients who sign up for doula services, belly casting, photography and placenta encapsulation; they will receive a discount of 10% off of the total price.***
If you live outside the Dover area there is a $50 travel fee added.
I offer discounts to clients having a homebirth, teen moms, single moms and military.
I'm willing to barter, trade and work out a payment plan so that all women who seek my services can have a doula. Every woman deserves a doula!
